The United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore recently presented Worcester Youth and Family Counseling Services (WYFCS) with $39,500 to support the agency’s Lower Shore programs. WYFCS offers professional counseling services, emergency and crisis assistance to families in need, programs for at-risk children, as well as the CASA program which advocates for children who have been removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect. Over the past 23 years, United Way has provided $820,952 in total funding for the agency. “We are happy to support this agency in their efforts to provide all types of individuals with the support they need during tough economic times,” said United Way Board Member, John Gaddis of Berlin Intermediate School.
