United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore recently presented the Village of Hope with a $46,000 check to fund their medical clinic and Steps to Success transitional living programs. The Village of Hope is a transitional shelter that offers primary medical care for the uninsured and underinsured while also providing life training for homeless women and their children. It assists individuals in Worcester, Wicomico, Somerset, and Dorchester counties. “We’re proud to support Village of Hope in its efforts to provide life changing assistance to our neighbors in need,” said Kathleen Mommé, Executive Director of the United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore.
